The Last Clark Foam Yater, Andreini’s Best Ever Surfboard, & More

Greetings, Shredderz! It’s about that time of month again. Keep reading for some of the cooler surfboards I have seen in recent memory.

First up we have another classic brought to you by the peerless Renny Yater. This is the last-ever Clark Foam blank shaped by Renny, and the board is being offered up for a reasonable $1,500. Gotta love the small Clark Foam logo towards the tail, not to mention all the other goodies you’d expect from a Yater Spoon (wedge stringers, glass on fin, etc.)

Shawn Stussy has been making some beautiful boards lately and sharing them on his Instagram account. Here he weighs in on some thoughts behind proper channel placement and showcases what looks to be a mid-length twin fin with some drawn out channels.

Looks like Surfer Magazine has enlisted Devon Howard as the latest test pilot for their excellent “Shed Sessions” series, which pairs great surfers with some sticks from Bird’s Surf Shed. I’m excited to see the results, although part of me wants Howard to exclusively ride the new CI Mid model he’s been working on, given the beautiful lines he draws on that thing. And if Devon Howard says this G&S Skip Frye V Bottom is tough to ride, then I don’t know what hope there is for the rest of us.

Marc Andreini claims this is the best surfboard he has ever made. Enough said!

Last but not least, we have Allen Sarlo AKA Wave Killer, posing alongside an incredible quiver of rides.
