Greetings, Shredderz! As we wind down Thanksgiving weekend here in the States, here are some surfboards that are currently listed for sale around the interwebs. Keep scrolling for more.
Phil Edwards Honolulu #93A (eBay)
I’m a sucker for anything related to Phil Edwards, and the boards he shaped in Honolulu after his Hobie stint are no exception. One of my all-time favorite boards I have featured here is the Phil Edwards Honolulu with serial number 49A. #93A has been restored by Randy Rarick and it’s a beaut. The board measures in at 10′ x 22″ x 3″. It’s not cheap, but hey, sometimes you get what you pay for.
Bing David Nuuhiwa Lightweight (Craigslist Santa Cruz)
While we’re on the topic of classic longboards, I can’t really pass up an opportunity to feature a 1967 Bing David Nuuhiwa Lightweight model. The board is 9’10”, and while it has had some repairs, it was apparently maintained at Joe Roper’s down in San Diego. Seller is asking $1,500.
Skip Frye V Bottom (Craigslist North Carolina)
Skip Frye deals aren’t that easy to come by, but here’s one for you. This Transition Era Gordon & Smith Skip Frye v bottom is listed at $350. The board is by no means in mint condition, but you can’t have your cake and eat it too. All in all this seems like a reasonable price for an unusual board from one of the living masters of surfboard shaping.
Dewey Weber Transition Era Trio (Craigslist San Diego)
Now here is a neat little mini-quiver consisting of three late Sixties Dewey Weber surfboards (two The Ski models and one Feather Fastback). The boards all come with their original fins, too, which is always a nice touch.
