Greetings, Shredderz! Today we’ve got a short film from Vissla that is a celebration of board building, surfing and community. Vissla brought together a talented cross section of shapers, glassers and artists, holed them up together for a weekend in the Santa Cruz mountains, and then filmed the proceedings. The end result is a bunch of cool surfboards, yes, but also a short movie brimming with positive energy.
I know I mostly tend to write about vintage surfboards, but what really interests me are hand shaped boards, regardless of age, and the people who make it all happen. There isn’t a ton of surfing footage in the clip, but I found it to be an inspiring celebration of board building and creativity.
