Donald Takayama Joel Tudor 60’s Longboard Classics

Greetings, Shredderz! Today we’ve got a striking acid splash Donald Takayama Joel Tudor 60’s Longboard Classics Model for your viewing pleasure. Many thanks to Roman for supplying the photos you see in the post. You can find Roman on Instagram here.

I’ve written up a few of these 60’s Longboard Classics models before, most recently a few weeks ago. Check out this much earlier post for photos of a few different variants of the 60’s Longboard Classics models.

I’m not sure exactly when these were shaped. I’ve seen some listed elsewhere as having been shaped in the mid-90s. The one seen here has a beautiful acid splash glass job. The dimensions are 9’6″ x 22 5/8″ x 3 1/16″.

The board has a pencil signature from Donald along the stringer, which is consistent with other Hawaiian Pro Designs / Donald Takayama shapes from the 90s and 2000s. While these boards were signed by Donald, I can’t say whether this particular example was hand shaped by Donald.

That said, I love these older Takayama boards, and as far as I can tell, the Joel Tudor 60’s Longboard Classics models are somewhat hard to find. Thanks again to Roman for supplying the photos you see here. Last but not least, see below for a Donald Takayama 60s Longboard Classics Stepdeck variant that I posted on Instagram a little while back.
