“Two Extreme” Dextra Surfboards Ad

Greetings, Shredderz! Today we’ve got a Dextra Surfboards ad from the late 60s, I’m guessing. Dextra was one of the many so-called “pop out” manufacturers that were popular in the 60, referring to the fact these boards were mass produced in molds, versus traditional shaping methods. Based purely off of how many Dextra boards I still see floating around for sale today, I’m guessing Dextra must have been one of the more prolific pop out producers.

The ad has some great photography, and the copy is great, too (“And for quick, easy turns, just hook your hind corner into the wave.”) I’ve heard that the pop outs from this era weren’t too durable, sadly, but they’re still cool to look at!
