Greetings, Shredderz! Here’s an amazing 1990 Local Motion ad featuring Clyde Aikau. I found this pic on eBay. I’m personally not down with dicing up old surf mags to sell individual ads in the hopes of turning a maybe $100 profit, so enjoy this thing for free.

I love the swagger that just emanates from this ad. Clyde on his fin setup: “…only need one at da Bay.” He also claims that the year he won the Eddie he surfed tiny Waikiki the entire winter, and the only time he surfed the North Shore was during his contest win. And how’s this for a one liner: “the Bay isn’t the Bay until it’s 20 feet plus.” I’m not surfing the Bay at 2 feet, so I’ll defer to Clyde on this one.
