Rare Takayama Sting + More: Shredder Submissions

Greetings, Shredderz! It’s time to revisit some submissions from all of you, which is honestly a blog post I look forward to writing every single month. You guys are sitting on some serious heat, which I am pumped to share. Keep reading for more:

First up, we have a killer pair of boards from Gavin Scott. Thanks Gav for sending over these pics! Upon first blush you might be tempted into thinking this is a pair of Ben Aipa shapes. The sting on the right, however, was actually shaped by none other than Donald Takayama. I’ve only seen a few Takayama boards for the Surfing’s New Image label, but as far as I can tell, this is the only Takayama-shaped sting I’ve seen. I had never previously seen the Aipa Surfboards logo on the sting, either. Add in the fact both boards are still in stellar condition and you’ve got a ridiculous duo.

This all original Caster can only be described as obscenely clean. I mean, wow. Check out the incredible resin pin lines on the deck. Shout out to George for sending this one in!

Last but not least, Tate sent in this killer 70s Gordon & Smith Skip Frye single fin. I love that lime green color. This is a bit of an unusual outline for Skip’s boards, as far as I can tell, but I really dig it.
